Pros

Support staff is there because they care about the mission.

Cons

Select leaders are not held accountable for the ways they treat staff. No HR. Sales leader is ineffective and a bully. Constant priority shifts. Dollars over mission at all costs including morale and culture.

Thank you for your feedback. We're disappointed to hear these concerns, as well as the fact that you felt you could not bring them to your direct manager. While revenue is of course a priority for us because it funds our mission, everything we do at NextUp is in service to Advancing All Women, and we are dedicated to the culture transformation required to help all employees thrive. We take your note about bullying very seriously, and if you are still a current employee with us, we hope you will be willing to bring your concerns to management. If you do not feel comfortable speaking with your direct supervisor, we strongly encourage you to speak with our COO, CEO, or any leader you feel comfortable talking to with while we are in the process of hiring an HR leader. We hope to hear from you so we can address these concerns directly.

Pros

- Fully remote work environment - Opportunities to attend national and regional events - Strong, mission-driven organization

Cons

- Excessive virtual meetings that frequently run over time and often end without clear decisions or actionable next steps - Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members holding dual roles or overseeing departments outside their areas of expertise - Largely absent or ineffective IT and HR teams - Lack of updated training and onboarding resources for new hires - Frequent before/after-hours “urgent” communications from CEO, many of which could reasonably wait until regular business hours.
