Pros

Working for NextAfter was an amazing experience. The people I worked alongside of were some of the smartest people I’ve met in the world of marketing. I was proud to do the work that I was doing because the agency’s clients are nonprofit and caused based organizations, meaning a successful campaign could feed hungry kids, or generally help people who have fallen victim to unfortunate circumstances. The company paid for lunches every day, paid 100% for health, vision, and dental for me and the entire family, and offered a generous PTO package. The thing that stood out to me the most was they actually allowed me to have paternal leave only 2 weeks after starting the position. Tim is an Passionate CEO who cares about his employees. The executive team are all down-to-earth individuals who have no egos at all. I would definitely recommend working for NextAfter if given the opportunity.

Cons

The work load can be quite heavy. This was the fastest paced agency I’ve worked at which was a challenge for me. The job required that I wear a lot of hats from some basic coding, to email marketing, to social media marketing, to landing page development, to graphic design in photoshop, to content writing, etc... I personally felt like the work was all over the place but some people might enjoy that kind of work. It wasn’t for me but I will always appreciate my time working there.

Pros

The combination of company culture, benefits package, and great leadership, are something I never believed to actually exist in a corporate environment. I am well cared for with an understanding manager, great salary, and I genuinely like what I do and who I do it with. We have a mission and values that are closely followed, and upper management takes time to listen to our thoughts and concerns before making any big decisions that affect the company. NextAfter has come a very long way, and I feel very lucky and grateful to be a part of it.

Cons

I don't align with all the clients I work with, so it can be difficult to feel passionate about each and every thing I do. But the fact that I can help nonprofits grow is a great feeling overall.
