Pros

The connections and friendliness of the members of the club. Shifts to support your time while you build your client base. Free membership to an outdated fitness club

Cons

No career progression (you are personal trainer/fitness instructor OR you are the Health and fitness manager), No penalty rates (public holiday). No upskilling. Poor management and lack of support from department heads. HIGH staff turnover, Sink or swim format in employee onboarding. No compensation or incentive to meeting KPIs. No culture within the department (1 staffmember on shift per department). Managers always in office and will not approach the gym floor unless there is an emergency. Upper Management is only concerned about the bottom line of their business looking for anywhere area to save a single cent. Company will roll out promotional weekends with no notice to staff and no preperation (rostering more than 1 staff member on). Leading to the staff member to be repremanded from being overwhelmed with no notice.
