Pros

work with some great people occasionally travel internationally product is pretty good London office is awesome

Cons

the CEO micro manages every aspect of the business which is why so many good smart people who started early on, are leaving all the time You really need to fight to be paid for what you are worth so know your worth or you'll get taken advantage of, and I'm not sure if this is malicious in nature but it's a problem. In fact the CEO openly encourages people to go get other offers to see how much they are worth on the market. The HR department was renamed "People and Culture" which is sham because culture is bad and people are incredibly undervalued, unappreciated and leaving. HR at Nexmo exists to protect upper management and nothing else. Is it better to have no company values or values that every single employee mocks behind management's back? People try to do the right thing then get scolded for it, so don't bother speaking up. If you are free thinking individual with talent and who likes autonomy, this isn't for you. If you take and accept orders blindly without question, then might be the right fit.

Pros

Product & technology are solid and consistently outshine competitors. You will hear very nice words from customers and business partners. It is proud to be part of a company that leads a category. Impressive growth of Revenue and customer base since inception. Leadership team members are experienced and really know the sector well. Product and solution innovation is an everyday thing. A lot of A-players and out-achievers within the organization. People & Culture - supportive and innovative. Not just talking about senior management here. From C-level execs to staff engineers, product managers, marketing, admin, and so on, everyone really goes the extra mile to improve business performances where they can. Everyone strives to deliver the best possible outcomes in his or her functional area while helping others succeed in theirs as well. Passion - Fun, open, and encouraging culture. Flat organizational structure. Employees get to own projects and take initiatives. International and multicultural - besides the san francisco HQ nexmo has offices in London, Hong Kong and Singapore. Employees interact with one another across teams and across regions. Perks - Benefits, generous 401k match, paid holidays. Fun events all year long, Food & beverages, ping pong table....

Cons

Perhaps need more meeting rooms in the SF office. When it gets busy it can cause unnecessary stress for meet organizers if we're running out of space... also sometimes there're noises coming from upstairs neighbors...
