      Pros

      The company was founded by engineers with a proven track record. Management consisted of that rare breed who know how to set a goal and get out of the way. Engineering / QA staff were top-notch. Morale and camaraderie were the order of the day. One could walk into the CEO or CTO offices with problems, and expect to be taken seriously. Nothing is perfect of course, but this was a better job than I've had anywhere else.

      Cons

      The period of ownership by Fusion-io unfortunately stalled sales, and the company was never able to recover its prior momentum. Company was acquired by Pivot3 in a last-ditch effort to preserve jobs.

      Pros

      * Great Leadership at all levels of the company from CEO, CFO, VP and down * A culture of openness and truthfulness that is hard to find ( Not many places that when you have a bad day you can just walk into the CEOs office and chat openly without being judged ) * Top talent in the Denver Area * Lots of technical knowledge and opportunity to learn lead * Attitude of letting folks take on new task and rolls at their own pace * Went from 0 code to a fully featured Enterprise Product in just 4 years. * Firm belief by everyone in the company from management to engineering to support of standing by the product and the customers to the end * If you ever get the opportunity to work with or under anyone from NexGen in the future... TAKE IT!

      Cons

      * All good things must come to an end eventually, Since the acquisition and management take over it's been down hill.
