Great company - poor management - Anonymous employee Newmark Employee Review

The office I worked in was 95% men, and I was one of a few women which made me quite uncomfortable. The men were respectful, but they would participate in male stereotyped networking activities outside of the office where the women were not invited. Management is poor, and there is a TERRIBLE work-life balance. I would feel guilty asking for PTO or sick time which I accrued. When they let me go they did not provide an explanation as to why when I asked since it was a total shock, I was just given "poor work performance".
