Pros
The only pro is the people you work with in your department. You start to build a trust with them.
Cons
Let's start with management, they don't listen and do what they want anyways. Upper management in Taiwan shows no interest in the day to day or long haul of the company. Their course of action is to make the upper levels more money while the lower levels do ALL the hard work without any recognition. Changing and/or creating job titles is also not a great way to boost morale. Talk about unfair practices, it starts here along with favoritism. They pick and choose who should get bonuses and throw employees into a bell curve. I could write a book on this section.
