Pros

OK salary comparing to other media companies

Cons

Highly useless management. No structural way for personal development or progression. Seems like those senior managers and directors only with the titles but not the brain! And the reason why they are senior are because of tenure, not competency! Nothing really gets done until these managers are being copied in or send the email themselves! Very hierarchical, and would not recommend if you are looking to learn and grow - very poor knowledge sharing, only the ''circle of trust ''get to know and they don't share! Or if they do share, there's not insight added what so ever, but just simply hit 'forward'.

Pros

Challenging and rewarding work. You'll work in an environment that publishes the news everyday, if you are excited about helping people learn more about the world, you'll love it here. Good benefits, hybrid work, and really smart coworkers.

Cons

Does not pay like big tech but as an IC you'll be part of union with job protections
