      You do meaningful work, gain knowledge on so many topics, and can translate the experience into so many different fields

      Cons

      Low pay, long hours. My experience was largely positive, though I have friends whose experience was informed by the character and leadership of the member and their senior staff. Some members shouldn't be managing teams and it shows in the work experience

      The pay is low, and the professional development is slow. Lots of mysterious bureaucracy and red tape.
