Needs Diversity - Anonymous employee New York Magazine Employee Review

The diversity here is more for decoration instead of for growth. Being apart of the VERY few people of color, I felt uncomfortable expressing my ideas as I was once told I was too “opinionated”. I would often receive more backlash for mistakes compared to other co-workers and co-workers often resisted talking to me directly compared to others in my department. Everyone here is essentially from the same kind of background those who aren’t are sadly invisible and unfairly treated.
