Intern at NVBOTS - Intern New Valance Robotics Employee Review

Great company, great employees, really doing breathtaking advances on the 3D printing platform. Everyone is friendly and excitable. As an intern, you get to create virtually whatever you want using their printers- and you can do it pretty constantly. The skies the limit in terms of design.

As an intern, I wasn't given much direction on what needed to be designed for the company. This did allow me to take on some design projects that I might not otherwise would have gotten to. You really have to be a self-starter and advocate for yourself. You'll get the most out of it by pushing yourself. Also, the intern projects were not engineering focused in the slightest. I understand it is possible that you can work on projects that aren't just content design, and I would have loved that opportunity, so hopefully if that is more your style you know ahead of time and can advocate for yourself to do that kind of work.

Really cool company breaking into some new, interesting parts of 3D printing. Everyone was friendly and willing to talk to the interns about their jobs and other topics. You get a lot of freedom as an intern to create whatever you want with the printers, very open-ended instructions.

There was very little direction given to the interns, combined with very little oversight or management. As an intern, you have to be very internally motivated or you won't get much out of the experience.
