Pros

Decent salaries; decent benefits (health insurance premiums have gone up substantially in past 3 years); work from home opportunities; depending on what dept you work in and who is on your team, there are some really great staff members here.

Cons

Executive leadership and HR have almost completely overturned in the past 2 years. The changes implemented (which are frequent and usually just reinventing the wheel) have been incredibly stressful and have not had a good impact on staff. Almost all clinical staff feel that leadership staff making changes doesn't live in the real world and certainly doesn't ask them for feedback before implementing any changes. NOTICE THAT ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS STARTED AFTER NEW LEADERSHIP BEGAN, AND THE RECURRING THEME IS LEADERSHIP IS NOT GOING WELL. Clinical staff feel stretched thin and unable to voice any opinions that might be negative due to leadership fear culture. Any feedback given should be positive, and wrapped up in a bow when presented to leadership, or you will be put on a performance improvement plan. Raises have been lowered this year for all staff as the merit guidelines were different than prior years, despite staff having to frequently hear how well the company is doing financially at Town Hall meetings. Every year staff fear that bonuses are going to be done away with because they wait until the last possible minute to tell anyone if bonuses got approved for the year - so it's not anything staff can count on. Additionally, many advancement opportunities require you to live/work out of the KC office, so remote staff have little opportunity for advancement.

Pros

I always look forward to going to work at New Directions every morning. It’s a great remote job and has a career path. You definitely need to be a self starter and have the ability to navigate the computer and various platforms.

Cons

Pay is fairly moderate for what is expected of us to learn.

Pros

- Benefits were great. - Compensation - OK.

Cons

- They have horribly immature management all the way up to the CIO. - No clear direction on what the future of technology looks like for the company. - They have an overbearing CIO that most of the infrastructure team and management have major issues with. - Though there are great employees there, the talent is either suppressed by bad management decisions or is completely lacking on some teams. - Too much fighting between CIO and CISO that produces hostile work environment. - They can't keep good employees long enough. A majority of people quit within their first year. The networking team had two guys quit before they were there for 90 days and management just had to promote one of the only two network engineers left to keep him from leaving.
