The thing that excites me most about Neutron recently is its ability to put people and process above all things. A quarterly and annual review process allows employees to give and receive feedback on where they stand in the business and what things they can do to improve and advance their careers. Weekly 1-on-1 coordination meetings allow employees to communicate and work through challenges before they escalate to larger problems. Neutron is an innovation business that works hard to find solutions to our client’s problems. Businesses want to work with us because we think not only outside of the box but spend time redefining the box. We put creative people together in an open office environment and amazing results are produced. I’m very pleased to work with such creative people every day and look forward to each day’s newest challenge. It’s not often that you find a business willing to give employees at any level a chance to take risks and be innovative. Have a prototype of concept you want to test? Neutron is a business that continues to evolve. The reality is that no company is infallible, not even Neutron. We make mistakes, we fail (quickly), we get back up and we continue to redefine our business. 95% of small businesses fail and yet this business continues to grow and succeed against those odds. For some people, this is too much to deal with. For others, it is a challenge worth taming. Neutron is that small business roller coaster that people either love or hate. I have seen the ups and downs at Neutron and other companies. Neutron has been the best experience because at the end of the day, the company actually cares about what I’m working on and what new ideas will sprout and grow.
