Pros

The thing that excites me most about Neutron recently is its ability to put people and process above all things. A quarterly and annual review process allows employees to give and receive feedback on where they stand in the business and what things they can do to improve and advance their careers. Weekly 1-on-1 coordination meetings allow employees to communicate and work through challenges before they escalate to larger problems. Neutron is an innovation business that works hard to find solutions to our client’s problems. Businesses want to work with us because we think not only outside of the box but spend time redefining the box. We put creative people together in an open office environment and amazing results are produced. I’m very pleased to work with such creative people every day and look forward to each day’s newest challenge. It’s not often that you find a business willing to give employees at any level a chance to take risks and be innovative. Have a prototype of concept you want to test? Neutron can give you the time and resources to make it a reality. The proof is in the multiple businesses that have spun off from our core. We are a company of problem solvers, entrepreneurs, comedians, and nerds, but in this melting pot that is Neutron we come together as a team and produce results that redefine the business standard.

Cons

Neutron is a business that continues to evolve. The reality is that no company is infallible, not even Neutron. We make mistakes, we fail (quickly), we get back up and we continue to redefine our business. 95% of small businesses fail and yet this business continues to grow and succeed against those odds. For some people, this is too much to deal with. For others, it is a challenge worth taming. Neutron is that small business roller coaster that people either love or hate. I have seen the ups and downs at Neutron and other companies. Neutron has been the best experience because at the end of the day, the company actually cares about what I’m working on and what new ideas will sprout and grow.

Pros

I really liked the Management team there. There was a reasonable amount of pressure to perform and they went out of the way to make working there a fun and good experience. Certainly one of the top places to work.

Cons

I was there during a time where they were restructuring and downsizing and that was a lot of painful changes.

Pros

Hands down, this place is awesome. I have a lot of flexibility. We plan and do lots of activities together. We communicate well together. We like working with each other. It seems like the company has really tried to push better communication among everyone. I've got nice equipment, a standing desk..I can take a break and get on the treadmill if I want. We get spoiled with going out to eat for lunch. It's a real nice set up. It seems like our communication and ability to get things done has greatly improved over this last year. It's really cool to see, and I hope it continues.

Cons

In some positions, you aren't always told what to do. Neutron does seem to like self starters; those that are able to take a project and run with it. I know in the past there was a huge sense of insecurity about how people felt in their roles. I think our CEO and other managers haved really tried push to have people not feel that way anymore. Managers have been doing a better job of communication and I've heard and felt that there isn't this sense of insecurity anymore. That's huge. We've definitely had some rough patches, but I think everyone here agrees it's way better here now than it was.
