Pros
The local office contains about 60 employees, and about 120 employees within the regions (Singapore, Taiwan, China, Australia). Working in a small size firm allows me to build up a solid work relationship with most colleagues, which is helpful for me when handling some compliance matters. The compliance team in Hong Kong office contains a total of four members, and I solely assist my manager on the business compliance side only. In such small team, I am able to handle multiple tasks. Unlike working in a larger firm, which the job function could be too narrow.
Cons
Although my position involve on communicating with most employees within the region. However, due to the small size of my team, I personally feel that for my career development I should take a step to work in a larger team, which allows me to develop a better work relationship and communication skills within the team.
