Pros

Pay was high for the industry/area. After hours/overtime pay is lucrative if you want to put in the time and be away from family and home. Colleagues were fun to work with even with this being a remote position.

Cons

My personal experiences: Difficult to obtain higher level support when needing help. On-call responsibilities can take up an entire weekend if responding to a system outage that requires triage. This could be looked at as a pro or con as this would come with afterhours/overtime pay. However, if you are looking for your typical 9-5 THIS IS NOT IT!! Plenty of travel and time, 4-6 was required with this position. Company did not have a per diem set and I was "talked to" after the supervisor thought a meal cost was too high. This was after skipping both breakfast and lunch when on a job that a colleague wanted to keeping working through. Seemed wrong to let you guess what the proper amount for a meal was without them setting a per diem. After leaving the company it was very hard to obtain clarification on leftover benefit payouts and 401k investments rollover. HR department is very difficult to get a hold of after employment was ended on good terms. Probably not the worst MSP to work for in the area and maybe things have changed. Financially they take care of their employees but have some room for other improvements. Just make sure to clarify time away from home before accepting an offer if this is important to you.
