Pros

I wanted to write this review the day i left this company but it got delayed for n number of reasons. But better late than never. - Good knowledge of marine domain software. - Learning of good things from teams in other countries. - You might get a good hike in terms of appraisal as compared to the market but when you look back to the efforts that you made to accomplish a task then you'll realise that this hike was not more than peanuts.

Cons

- Behaviour of managers/leads in India/Singapore was inappropriate and unprofessional. They treated employees as their personal belonging which gave feeling of slavery. - The rules and regulations were not same for everyone. Senior officials took undue advantage of the same and were always biased towards few employees which is not appreciated - Requirements were never understood well before starting to work on it. Leads never provided any solution to queries. If any query has been put they were often making personal comments like ‘you aren't capable enough, which was such a wrong approach. On top of it leads used to put unnecessary pressure to complete the project where requirements were not clear and queries were not solved. -the ideas of other than leads were never given importance which was not fair at all. Everyone should have been given equal opportunities and chances. Team leaders always took those conversations in different mode which resulted in personal remarks and ego clashes. - When you know what exactly needs to be done and when we would share the steps involved in project, Leads would often disagree to the same despite the fact that that would have been absolutely correct way of doing that project. Hence there was no way to move forward and you can't step back since there was pressure for completing it. - When you seek support from leads in terms of compensation and appraisals you were always given less than what that person deserved. And say this line "there is nothing in our hands" and blame the owner of the company for it. Appraisals were done well for people who were close to team leads despite of them not performing well. Hence again being biased. They lied to the team and hold back the appraisal of whole team except for the person who was close to them in terms of friendship. This was revealed mistakenly but even then there was no sign of regret on their faces and no one could question it. And behaviour was same when support was required while working on a project. - There was no transparency at all. If anything went wrong, they always played blame game instead of taking the corrective measures they would make it more complicated. - I have experienced their unprofessional and arrogant behaviour and also towards other team members. They did not even spare the team members who were of their own age group since those members were not into management, so they'd insult them as they insulted other members. Not only the technical lead but other leads who knows nothing about the development process used to say harsh words to the team members and was arrogant which was more insulting and rude. I pity on those team members. There were times when a non-technical persons/leads who doesn’t know anything of code used to tell how to code and insulted saying that he could have done it in few minutes. - There are no parameters upon which they rate an employee's performance. I am sure that they never even send the correct performance report/information to the owner of this company. - They try to know about you and what is going inside your head but from a third person who acts as an informer. I am not saying that this approach is wrong but you can’t trust that third person’s word blindly. Also even when they know the truth then also it is useless since they do nothing about it even when you are pissed off. But no one questions whether that third person is justifying his/her job profile or not apart from passing useless information. There were some members who tried to speak their mind to the leads thinking that it may help to make things better for everyone. I just hope those member were able to save their jobs and are doing well. - No steps or initiatives from managers to build team confidence and gain their trust (at least till the time I was there). - No career growth as one kept doing monotonous work every day. - You may say “Good bye” to professionalism, personal/professional growth, sharing views/ideas, team work, office parties and trips and a good life if you decide to join here. Since they make your experience totally worth less.
