Pros

-Great exposure to business technologies -90% of the people there are great, very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to get along with. -Get to meet and see a variety of people and places, but also have flexibility of being remote (if on the good side of higher up)

Cons

-It seems some management have a very 80/90s style of managing and business thinking where the higher up you are in a company, the more you gest paid and less you have to do, and hire more people to do your job for you, this seems to be the case in IT at the very least. -Although they say there is no blame culture, there definitely is, even if it's just joking, if you make a mistake, you will never forget about it. Even to the point where you won't be trusted to do that kind of work/task again. This makes it very demoralising -The time logging policies are very sneaky and borderline fraudulent with obviously everyone having to overlog at some point to make up for lost time during the day. The time logs are also open and transparent for everyone, which people then weaponise and use against each other, very toxic. -Management and directors play clear favourites, with certain people getting to flout the strict rules and other people getting picked up on minor things/things not in their control. -Another unethical time logging policy was that a "personal human breaks" was to be logged and charged to customers as apparently "It's fine as you would go to the toilet if they hired you to work for them everyday", this is not explained to customers, who then query the minute-by-minute invoice they get sent of the work completed, and instead the employee is berated for wasting time/unethical logs. Next thing you know you see a full 8 hour block of time logged for the directors where specific staff are getting queried over 22 minutes they could have only logged 20.. -Shown no appreciation for hard working staff, instead collective punishment is used to motivate everyone to reach the self-set goals. -There is such an atmosphere of blame culture and toxicity that no one can ever openly admit they are wrong or made a mistake, this includes all management.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Each review received is carefully looked at by the leadership team and we take all constructive feedback seriously. It is always our aim for all of our colleagues to have a positive experience when working with Netmatters. It is in our best interests to make sure everyone is happy and motivated and whenever we hear this is not the case we're keen to do all we can to resolve this. Our business model is unique as we sell “time” to our customers by the minute. This means that every hour is accounted for and customers can be sure they are receiving quality work at all times. We have recently introduced a number of changes based on our “Perfect Working Day” initiative which have made it much easier for staff to log time through their working day. We are transparent with all customers, who are aware, and pleased to have human interaction on their services. Within this comes an element of human requirements such as facility breaks. We do our best to ensure a positive experience for both clients and employees at all times. We have frequent check ins in place with the HR team, and direct managers to ensure support is provided throughout your time with us, and hope that any concerns are raised to help us effectively support you. Each month we recognise a member of staff who has gone above and beyond in their role, alongside hosting our end of year awards in which we celebrate departments, individuals and group achievements. We are always keen to hear about new ways to celebrate our team, and provide recognition for their hard work, so please email our HR team with any further suggestions you may have. Our HR department works hard to find a balance for both the staff and the company by managing employee relations, ensuring compliance within employment legislation, facilitating recruitment, providing training and development opportunities and ultimately aiming to maintain a positive and productive work environment for both parties. We conducted a companywide, anonymous end of year survey in December 2024 to gain feedback on all areas of the business, a process we enjoy reading and take actions for the future from each year. This year’s statistics relating to some of the items raised are below: - 97% of people feel that NM takes Mental Health seriously - 90% of people feel they have opportunities for growth, development and advancements - 97% of people felt proud to be a member of their team, department and company - 90% of people feel there have been positive changes/ impact within the last 6 months - 95% of people feel they receive high levels of support from their manager We wish you all the best for your future endeavours.

Pros

The people are great You work with a lot of technologies You get a lot of exposure Personal development plans They take people with no experience

Cons

Time management expectation is difficult to follow sometimes. You get burned out easily, especially because of the high turnover, when someone leaves, you have to pick up their work, a lot of time without training for higher level tickets. No structure when it comes to job description. You could be a junior employee but getting high level tickets to work on. No short-term sick pay. The parking situation is not good, Sometimes you get conflicting information from different managers.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a balanced review. We’re really pleased to hear your positive comments about our people, the variety of technologies we work with, the exposure this provides, and our commitment to personal development and giving opportunities to those without prior experience. Those are all areas we actively invest in and are proud of. We also appreciate you highlighting the challenges. Workload and time management expectations can be demanding at times, and we recognise the impact this can have on burnout. We’re continuing to focus on improving resourcing, knowledge sharing, and training to better support team members when taking on more complex work. We’d also like to clarify a couple of points raised. All of our offices do have access to free parking, and we encourage team members to speak with their manager or HR if they are unsure of the options available at their location. In addition, short-term sick pay is in place, and details of this are outlined in our company manual. We recognise that awareness of benefits and provisions is just as important as having them, and we’re continuing to focus on clearer communication to ensure everyone has the right information. Feedback like this is genuinely valued and helps us continue to improve the experience for our team.

Pros

Pay is ok & decent exposure

Cons

- management are totally clueless - Toxic work environment lead by senior management - Everything needs to be logged, expects you to log 8 hours everyday leading to burnout or unethical logging - Does not take criticism onboard and usually takes it personally - HR are not there to help you, they are there to protect their clueless and often stupid procedures & ideologies - To hit all KPIs they create basically turns you into a robot. If you don't hit the KPIs you get told off or made to feel you're not good at your job - Directors have become so greedy that they have taken away perks from employees so they can get big pay rises All in all AVOID AT ALL COSTS. P.s. ignore the response I will get from this, its not true and you will find it out eventually.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. These are all monitored and considered very carefully by the leadership team at Netmatters. It is always our aim to have the best possible working environment for all of colleagues and we are always refining our approach in order to achieve this. Your review mentions you're a current employee and I'd urge you to reach out to either HR or your line manager who will be able to assist with the issues you're facing. It is in our interest to have happy and engaged staff and if there is anything we can do to get the experience back on track we'd love the opportunity to do so.
