Pros

- Most of the associate to senior level people are great. - Some of the perks are good, but not up to par with what you'd find at most other AAA studios. - WB corporate is pretty good. - Bonuses can be high.

Cons

- There aren't any real leaders in the company. - The company culture is almost non-existent. Having an arcade with leftover Midway games isn't culture. Free pop isn't culture. - People love to try and do work they're not qualified for at all. The story is written by a lead engineer. UI is always in everyone's business and continues to even after we complained to management. - The game designers rule the studio and can sometimes be hostile to other departments. - You will be looked down upon if you're not crunching hard with everyone else regardless if you have work to do. - Base pay is below industry averages. - Bad ideas don't die, they get turned into features. Clash system in Injustice; Faction War in MKX - If you want to get promoted forget it. Those spots don't open up because most of the people have been here for 15 or more years and will probably only leave when they retire. - Everything is still Waterfall development, even though some people might say it's Agile.

Pros

The leads have good artistic vision and are very accomodating and friendly. Ed Boon, the game director, was one of the original creators of Mortal Kombat, so he has a strong vision and passion to create a game that he loves. No sabotaging of the studio to chase a quick buck through forced live-service projects or sacrifice of integrity as far as I can tell.

Cons

NetherRealm is owned by Warner Bros, which puts lots of ugly corporitization into the mix. Employees aren't allowed to have unapproved creative endeavors outside of work.
