      Interfering, narcissistic and arrogant CEO. From what it sounds like, the company was a pretty nice place to work 2+ years ago. Over last 12 months CEO has got involved increasingly in low level technical decisions, overriding his developers constantly on technical decisions he doesn't understand. It's like if someone made the Duning Kruger effect into a CEO. He "promoted" himself to Tech Lead despite needing help from the devs to use Git. Never seen a situation this absurd before. He has literally run the company into the ground with his arrogance.

      You'll gain firsthand experience dealing with narcissistic, unqualified leadership. Useful if you ever want to study dysfunction in a workplace.

      Cons

      The CEO (the owner's son) lacks any professional or technical credibility and routinely overrides his own developers with misguided decisions. The environment is defined by micromanagement, paranoia, and intimidation. Management knowingly breaks employment law. When I resigned, they refused to pay out my accrued annual leave. I had to take them to court, and won. The public ruling confirms their unlawful conduct. This wasn’t a one-off. Multiple employees faced the same treatment, with the company betting most wouldn't go through the legal process to claim what they were owed. Expect: - Underpayment and delayed wages - Falsified records - Gaslighting and bullying - Zero regard for employee wellbeing - No career growth, mentorship, or engineering standards
