Pros

Netchannels' founder, Catrine Charron, has longstanding relationships among the top high-tech companies, with a broad array of consulting experts, many of whom have worked with Netchannels for many years. Netchannels is a great company for marketing professionals who are interested in consulting work, or longtime consultants who seek new programs and opportunities within different companies. While being committed to doing the right thing for her clients, she also is a wise advisor to consultants and seeks positive solutions that work well for all. This leads to successful, long-term client engagements, some that have led to the consultant being hired as an employee by the client company.

Cons

I have none. I would like to see others recommend Netchannels for their consulting needs so there are even more contract opportunities for which Catrine can bring on more people from her strong network.

Pros

Catrine the owner is a highly experienced, very respected, and extremely well-connected professional who runs a tight ship very effectively. She's a no-nonsense highly-reliable partner who gets things done and actually cares deeply about her clients (all top logos) and her staff (all top professionals - she is veeeery picky). There's a reason this shop has been around as long as it has. I've worked for a LOT of fly-by-night agencies in the past, and working with Netchannels is refreshing in the consulting business.

Cons

Haven't found any thus far.

Pros

Netchannels has broad reach into the major tech employers and can provide paths to jobs with them in difficult economic times, since many IT companies are now looking to hire outsourced workers to maintain flexibility and keep costs down. And, because you're a placed contract worker, you work just 40 hours instead of being pulled into working nights/weekends as is common if your a tech company FTE

Cons

There are no vacation or other typical IT employer benefits. Health insurance is provided (because it's mandatory for them to do so) but the big thing is going without vacation time. The compenstation is less than what you'd get being a direct hire b/c Netchannels takes a percentage of your paycheck.

Netchannels' W2 employees have 9 paid Holidays per year and we do not cap vacation time. This means that you can take vacation when you want without any limits as long as the client approves the time off which in 20+ years, they always have done.
