No Job Guarantee, No Work-Life Balance, Favouritism - Associate Software Engineer NetSPI Employee Review

Pros

The only positive aspect was the colleagues — they were cooperative, supportive, and made the work environment somewhat bearable. Unfortunately, good teammates cannot make up for poor leadership and unstable company practices.

Cons

My experience at NetSPI was extremely disappointing. Despite my dedication, I was laid off before even completing a year. The entire process was poorly managed and lacked transparency, leaving me and others uncertain about our future. I had worked extremely hard to get here, spending months preparing and almost 1.5 years of my life building my skills and career — only to now be forced to look for jobs as a fresher again, making all that effort feel wasted. No job security – Even after completing tasks before deadlines, resolving critical/ regression issues and bugs, I was laid off without a fair chance. Dishonest management – Managers told others I had been warned to improve, but I never received any such feedback directly, nor was I given enough time, support, or even a proper Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) to work on and prove myself. Lack of support – Instead of guiding employees and helping them grow, the company takes abrupt decisions and shifts the blame. Work-life imbalance – Long hours and unrealistic expectations with no sense of balance. Favouritism – Recognition and opportunities are based on preference, not performance. Unstable leadership – Inconsistent decisions, no planning, and zero long-term vision. Final Note: If you are looking for growth, stability, and fair treatment, think twice before joining this company — it can set your career back instead of helping it grow.

Pros

NetSPI is an outstanding place to grow your career while working alongside incredibly talented and supportive teammates. The company truly invests in its people by fostering a collaborative culture, encouraging innovation, and providing opportunities to take on meaningful, high-impact work. Leadership is transparent and approachable, and there is a strong sense of teamwork across departments. One of the biggest strengths of NetSPI is its focus on professional growth and continuous improvement. Employees are encouraged to share ideas, develop new skills, and take ownership of their work. The fast-paced environment keeps things exciting, and the people genuinely care about each other’s success, which makes it a rewarding and motivating place to work.

Cons

As a fast-growing company, priorities and processes can evolve quickly, which can require teams to adapt on short timelines.
