Pros

- Mid-size company, not a startup, not a monster. If you're looking for a choice where you can get "visibility" this can be a great choice - The team is great, for those who like to know people and share with their teams, they do all kinds of fun activities because Neostella tries to hire people from the same city - A pretty decent benefits pack

Cons

- It's not a fully remote role, so you'll have to go to the office, not a con, more FYI - They ask you to report hours, and if you're fast in your tasks they'll yell at you because you're not "working enough" (Even when they don't assign you more tasks because there's not enough backlog), and if you finish your tasks fast and report the full daytime with no gaps they're gonna yell at you because they don't believe you because you're so fast. You do what you're asked for, and they yell at you because they can't control you enough - They DO NOT care about delivering great software solutions + they're always in a rush with ambiguous deadlines and requirements, and no talking about the lack of professionalism for their demos - Feedback sucks, leading structure too. My leader wasn't even present on the day I left. - Favoritism is noticeable, they fished my contract for not being indulgent enough with a "manager" who was micromanaging me asking over and over again the same questions every time, and telling me how confident he was I wasn't understanding his requirements. I told him that he knew who my manager was, and who was leading the project, and if he noticed we were facing the wrong direction we should sync and fix it ASAP. This guy wasn't a regular Product Owner, he behaved more like a drunk in a bar just telling ideas. He complained about me and behaved like a (pardon me) rat during that week. Asked for one Architect to continue his project (THE Solutions Architect leading an informal project, this guy has more serious things to care about). No talk about how they DO HAVE a procedure for kicking out someone, and they did everything possible to kick me under the hood because this manager wanted and he's CEO's little friendo The office is small, and they hired so many people that no soul can enter that office anymore

Nice people, meaningful work / product. Travel options (if you like travel). Paternity leave.

Cons

Low salary / benefits. Lack of structure. No individual growth plan. Only some people get Stock options. Constantly pushing teams faster and faster. PTO doesn’t carry over.
