Pros
- Every day that I show up to work, I know that I'm making a difference. This is the only job I've ever had that allows me to combine my love of nonprofits, technology, and business. For the first time, I'm fulfilled.
- I work with a team of managers who always put the needs of their team above their own. Running a successful department is important, but so is having a team of happy employees who enjoy coming to work every day. I'm proud to work with colleagues who are ethical, smart, hardworking, and who genuinely care about others.
- We have a rockstar executive team: Michael Farb, Stuart Lodge, Jordan Phelps, Misty Novich. They get the culture and they care about employees. I consider it a privilege to have them as our leaders.
- We work super hard at Neon, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the fun events the Social Committee puts together for us. The office is always decorated for the holidays and we celebrate pretty much everything. I'm talking Halloween costume runway show, Easter egg hunt, chili contest, cookie contest, office beach day every June, pajama day following our big company holiday party, and the list goes on.
- Fully stocked kitchen, but it's not about the food. We genuinely all like each other. The kitchen is packed in the morning and at lunchtime.
Cons
Merging with other companies can be messy but the leadership team keeps us up-to-date and is honest when they don't have the answer to something. I'd rather a CEO tell me "I don't know yet" than make something up.
The benefits plan is robust (medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, life insurance). I hope the company can increase the employer contribution in the future.
