Pros

I learned a lot during my time at NeoReach. However, I learned all of it by myself without any assistance or guidance from higher-ups. Thankfully, other contractors were friendly and seemed to care about the state of the company more than the C suites.

Cons

It pains me to say that NeoReach is nothing more than a desolate company infested with distasteful business practices and poor management. Your voice will never matter to the C suite, whether you're a contractor or a full-time employee. I worked there for years, and I don't think the CEO knew of my existence despite attending All-Hands meetings (back when they had them). Executives lacked leadership and communication skills to give employees direction on what they should be doing. Upper management bossed people around, while employees would go weeks without responses. Sometimes, contractors would wait several weeks for a response on crucial issues. Higher-ups would not show up to meetings or ghost you if you needed help. I could sense the frustration between full-time employees and C suite. When a new Talent Manager was onboarded, they immediately left without a trace a few months later. While I don’t know the reason why behind their departure, I saw their clients messaging on Slack, saying that their emails were bouncing and nobody could get a hold of them. Afterward, I saw they became a Talent Manager elsewhere and removed NeoReach’s existence from their LinkedIn. According to NeoReach’s BBB profile, C suites failed to attend meetings, communicate, and provide services bound by contracts. In this complaint, the user stated that the founders refused to return emails or phone calls when there was evidence of a contract breach. Writers were forced to copy ChatGPT responses and turn them into blogs. The CEO allowed plagiarism and expected the same quality of work for half the pay. If you questioned the CEO’s distasteful approach to AI, directors would push you out of your role. They will replace you and pretend you never existed. If you’re a part of marketing or are a college intern, you would be scolded for your “poor performance” when quarterly goals weren’t met. How are college interns meant to excel when they’re expected to be just as good as full-time workers with years of experience and tools to be successful? Everyone starts somewhere. I have lots of respect for the college students who endured the treatment for so long. Just like me, many of them persevered and made the best of it. NeoReach never met quarterly goals, and yet…expectations increased, and resources decreased. How were we supposed to be successful without team collaboration and crucial resources? Higher-ups instilled fear and lied about “full-time positions” to contractors to “encourage” hard work. Whenever contractors excelled in their work, they’d receive nothing more than a lie and reduced workloads to compensate for the company’s lack of direction. Directors falsely promised bonuses for creating well-thought-out ideas for marketing. Instead of allowing employees to expand on their ideas, I feel like they'd steal the idea and take credit. Likewise, if you do brainstorm ideas and the higher-ups like them, they will never be implemented. Whenever I showcased ideas and strategies, they’d say, “Great, let's implement these right away,” and then never follow through. In the Summer of 2023, the website was meant to be revamped to make the site more user-friendly. As of January 2024, there has been no word on the “revamp,” and nothing has changed. If you're a contractor, don't expect to be paid on time, no matter how many times you ask. You're better off not working because only then will they decide to pay you. Sometimes, you had to BEG to get paid, but eventually, you’d get your invoice…which I can, at least, appreciate.

Pros

Flexible work/life balance Remote PTO

Cons

I wish I had more positive feedback to share, but my experience was ultimately defined by poor communication and a clear lack of initiative from management. I would often go days without receiving responses and had to send repeated follow-ups just to keep projects moving forward. Creators were also frequently paid late, which appeared to stem from ongoing financial instability within the company. There was little to no effort from management to schedule consistent 1:1s, provide meaningful check-ins, or have constructive conversations around performance, growth, or career development. The environment felt disengaged rather than supportive, and overall professionalism was lacking. Unfortunately, there was also no clear path for growth, advancement, or raises. Based on my experience, I would not recommend working here. Also everyone here is insanely underpaid.
