Pros

The training for new employees is very through and helpful to get everyone up to speed on best practices and learning how to use the firm's systems, what resources are available, etc. The admin and office management is very on top of things and genuinely care. They'll make sure you're never bored and at the same time never too overloaded with work. They have lots of opportunities for growth, additional training, working with various teams, and they do a good job promoting from within. The team I worked with was fantastic.

Cons

Certain departments that the admin staff and attorneys have to deal with are a pain to navigate. They also started moving away from having some WFH days. I never ran into any issues, but the culture amongst teams (more practice group based than location) can vary a lot.

Pros

Nice corporate attorneys; stay away from the litigation, healthcare & tax section teams

Cons

Controlling MP, inexperienced, insecure and never there office manager & inexperienced, micromanaging office coordinator, who only cares about her MP boss and team and only job is approving timesheets, will never go against rainmaker staff, but will be strict with the rest of the staff; Tax team Partner is the rain maker, therefore his assistant enjoys full favoritism, “on call” in office work schedule, extra “remote” time and firm polices do not apply to her regarding PTO, sick time or assistant pool duties. She will end up with excessive roll over PTO at the wnd if the year. Both the MP & the rainmaker assistants constantly complain about their bosses to other assistants in the firm but stay because they enjoy blatant favoritism. Promotions are given only to those who work for the MP or rainmaker, not merit. If you are a top performer, prepare to be burned out, and excluded, and don’t dare speak up because silence & control are what is rewarded in this firm.
