Pros

A lot of different testing to learn, if management will allow you to crosstrain.

Cons

Relentless micromanaging of tasks. Lunch breaks are short and monitored/micromanaged. You get hassled for trying to take a regular 15 min break. Management will only choose a few people per department to crosstrain in all testing for your department, so if they don't like you, then you're out of luck until they're desperate. There is a lot of backstabbing and gossip between coworkers because it's a huge competition for promotions and training. The environment at Nelson Labs was one of the most toxic that I have ever encountered. I only recommend starting here to get as much training as possible in 1 year and getting out as quickly as possible. Cars get broken into a lot as well.

Pros

*Team builds if they schedule them *Ice cream twice a week *Lab experience *Coworkers

Cons

*Micromanagement *Hard to move up *They don't care about their employees like they used to. They're opening up a new clean room and I highly advise to anyone that's going to apply to avoid sterility assurance as much as possible. High turnover rate and you usually can't take a break until after your shift which you can be in the clean room for 8-12 hours. Lots of mandatory overtime and it's exhausting. Mostly standing in one place and need to be very aseptic or else you will ruin the test. There's also cameras everywhere watching you. It's easy to burnout in this department. Even if you try leaving you'll never truly get out of it.
