Pros

Always up to date with the most current and stylish trends. Fun in-store events. Exposure to incredibly high-end products. Informative morning meetings educate you about new products in every department. Working with brand reps allows you to really be informed about every vendor you work with. Always surrounded by lovely, luxurious things!

Cons

Sales associates are cut throat because they work off of commission. High-end clientele can be difficult. You are only as good as your numbers. A good day in sales makes you a super star. However, a bad day in sales make you a leper. When business is slow it can get very boring. You are forced to cold call people when you don't want to. Working nights, holidays and weekends can get frustrating, but that's what you sign up for when you work retail.

Pros

* If you have an amazing team and management the day goes by fast. * Commission. * Easy to rely on foot traffic to meet goals. * If you ask for growth, they set thing ups that align with what you want, you just need to ask.

Cons

* If its slow, its SLOW. * There can be drama, it just depends on the department you're in.

Pros

Employee discount and free samples

Cons

A toxic environment where sales are almost zero because vendors are pulling their product off the shelf because their bills aren’t getting paid. They’re in the middle of coming out of a bankruptcy , if a client does come in, we usually don’t have the product to sell them ,only lines who are partially thriving is fragrance ! The hours are terrible. You get off work at nine and you’re expected to be back at 9:30 AM.
