Pros
the discount is good and I loved some of the people I worked with
Cons
I was with the company for a very long time and while there were always pain points the last 1-2 years in the marketing/creative dept got me to the my breaking point. The work culture has gotten beyond toxic. Yes its nice we get to work remotely but it doesn't make up for being on virtual meeting all day and having to work nights and weekends to keep up with the work you can't do while on calls constantly. There is also a standard of punishing the hard workers by overloading them with even more work to make up for the people not pulling their weight. But with no additional headcount, pay raise or promotions to accommodate. They're literally driving people out with these practices. The final straw for me was the gross compensation disparities between teams. I found out new hires at the same level as me were getting paid 15%+ more than me. When I brought this up to HR I was told that my job was not 'valued' as high as other on the marketing team and that they felt my pay was 'appropriate'. Why would I stay at a job where I'm told I'm not valued as much as my peers despite working on very high profile parts of the company and being given a higher workload than most. Needless to say I went to a company that values my skills as they should.
