Pros

Many of the other managers are awesome. The dress is casual due to the nature of the job. There are benefits for full-time employees and there are annual trips for management.

Cons

It is well understated that many of the stores are more than limited on staff. In other words, there may only be one person there- you! Most stores are on a limited hour schedule of only 20 hours per week when it is not busy. This is a shock if you are hourly (which the company is moving towards for all positions) and are not allowed additional hours. Many students feel there is too much to learn for the low amount of pay received for compensation. Training is difficult because it takes a lot of time to either ready manuals, ask someone by phone, etc., and yet daily there will be tasks sent to you with deadlines and priority.

Pros

It's a fun market to market to. There are some group activities and team outings. It seems like they are trying to create a fun culture. There is much to still establish at this organization within the marketing department which can be a great opportunity.

Cons

Management is disorganized and inexperienced. There is a lot of micromanaging. Very little trust is put into the employee's hands. It is also pretty political - If you're chummy with the right people you'll go far (which is not necessarily based on work performance). There is also no 360 feedback - so you'll never get to review your bosses and management. The work-life balance is pretty bad. There are many weekends and late nights in the office (but at least they feed you on weekends you're in the office). I am overall unfulfilled as an employee and it's going to be a struggle to turn this into a long term relationship.
