Pros

Professional environment with excellent peers. Gym, break room, and ping pong is great. Initial training is some of the best you can get.

Cons

Serious animosity when resigning after more than 10 years. They threatened to sue and I didn't even get a thank you, despite my emphatic thank yous until the end of the interview. Very surprised at the vehemence when leaving and they did not do the right thing and pay out commissions when they didn't do their job to collect in a timely manner. Would have rated this much much higher, but since I was given an aggressive and threatening exit interview, I cannot rate any higher than a 1...otherwise it would have been a 4+ (for the majority of the years I was there). I'm not pretending to be a perfect employee (or the top biller), but I was very low maintenance and made them a ton of money without a single ounce of gratitude, quite shocking.

NaviTrust Response

Thank you for the response and the feedback. We are sorry you feel this way and we’re a little surprised. Our communications since your resignation indicated that you felt differently. We’d be happy to talk through this with you. For those who are reading this, we’d like to respond to a few of his points: 1. We reward and thank our team members on a regular basis, not just when they resign. We have regular contests, parties, send gift cards home to the team member and their spouse, and many other things. We also compensate above market average for our industry, which we feel is appropriate and are glad to do. 2. There is an opportunity every year to earn a President’s Club trip. 3. We provide trips to our employees when they hit their 10-year anniversary with us, I believe this individual took his family to Hawaii. We feel this is an appropriate token of gratitude. 4. We have and enforce a non-compete. The ultimate recourse for breaking this non-compete is, unfortunately, legal action. This is something that is reviewed in each exit interview. 5. We hold up our end of the agreement. We are still paying out commissions to this individual months after his leaving because that’s what we said we’d do. Please contact Clark Cotterell, the CEO, if this brings up any concerns you’d like to discuss. His email is clark.cotterell@navitrust.com.

Pros

The training is extensive and continuing. There is no reason to not succeed with all the help you get from management to do well. The training is all you do in your first month with weekly meetings in the morning that I will call continuing education. With as many tools that you are given to succeed there is no reason not to. The organization is small, so that everyone interacts with everyone. There is a strong team vibe and everyone is so encouraging.

Cons

There are not a lot of women here, not that they didn't try, but it would be nice to have more women in this industry and especially with this company to help continue it's growth.

Pros

The leadership team is uncompromising in hiring people of high character people. They state they hire people who a) have high character, b) are smart, c) great work ethic and d) who have the ability to build rapport with clients and candidates. The non-leadership team is just as interested in your success as the leaders are. All believe that there has to be a great work/life balance. The attitude is when you are at work, "be at work" when you are home 'be home." They have great trips, President Club, Quota Buster trips and lots of fun contests throughout the year. They have been in business more than 27 years and there are not many firms in the search and recruiting space which can make the same claim. They have also won "best company to work for" 4-times.

Cons

It is missing some of the "fun" on-premise things of some of the Slicone Slope companies. They tend of make up for it in company off-site meetings and activities and training. There is the requisite pin-pong table, well stocked break-room and a well-equipped, on-site company owned work-out facility as well.
