They expect people to take on higher level responsibilities without a title change or pay increase to compensate Huge retention problem due to the lack of experience on site Lack of flexibility and understanding for employees--you had a close family member die and another starting chemo treatment? You used up your ~3days bereavement and don't have any PTO right now, so going to the funeral and/or taking that person to chemo will be a point each. Now they often institute Mandatory Overtime--even for departments that are meeting all of their goals--when for the 2 years I've worked here previously it was all volunteer.
