Pros

Pay is good in comparison to other claims jobs with other companies. Great vacation/ time off package. Challenging job, but not rewarding in the end.

Cons

If you work in the claims area, there is no work/ life balance. They pile loads of claims on each rep. More claims than is humanly possible to handle properly and timely. I worked with a lot of very hard-working and talented coworkers who left feeling burned out and used. Communication concerning changes in claims was sketchy and unclear. The Allied-Nationwide merger created a lot of confusion. Sometimes it was like working for two different companies when it came to working claims and servicing customers from Allied.

Pros

-For the most part, the people you work with are good people. Made real lifelong friends and mentors. -As with all large companies, there are plenty of opportunities to advance and/or move around if something isn't a good fit. -One of the rare places still offering a pention

Cons

-Office politics promote plenty of people who don't deserve it and the teams happiness is highly dependent upon who you end up reporting to -WAY too much false urgency created by bad leaders -Big company means slow moving in all the stuff you want to go fast. Often times too many cooks in the kitchen
