Pros

This past month, I joined NLG and couldn’t be happier with the decision. The hiring and on-boarding process was organized and well done; and, I had to review the benefits twice, because I couldn’t believe how much was offered! In addition to three diverse health plans and all the standard benefits, disability is 100% paid by company, vacation and volunteer time banks are generous, and there are so many other options like pet care, onsite wellness, a free gym—even massage therapy! I’ve never experienced a culture where everyone is encouraged to be themselves and share their ideas. I’ve been at a lot of organizations where meetings are basically just listening to the leader. Here, everyone shares their thoughts in a productive manner. Nothing is ever perfect, but all the important boxes are checked here!

Cons

There's a lot to learn about the industry, and a lot of jargon in use that makes things a little confusing at first.

Pros

Good pay, nice people to work with but as a consultant I feel a bit on the "outside".

Cons

Every single person that is an Executive Vice President is a man with the only woman being the CEO's Executive Assistant. Clearly you can see there is a distinct "known" here at this company.

We recognize that diversity has historically been an issue in our industry. However, if you look at our corporate board, we're actively working to diversify and will continue to make sure we consider all aspects. We will always focus on adding the most qualified talent to all of our roles across the entire organization. If you would like to connect further regarding this, I would welcome the opportunity to talk. - Michael Veilleux, Chief People Officer
