Pros

Teams are smaller and extremely involved. Managers are highly interactive, and do not hesitate to give you the resources needed to succeed. I joined NCP with limited knowledge on the healthcare side of project management. Both my manager and VP have made a point to not only take the time to teach me what I need to know one on one, but did not hesitate to put in positions where I would apply that knowledge so quickly. By doing so I became familiar with every aspect of the project and they were sure to provide oversight when I needed it without being over bearing. Since it is a smaller company, there is less red tape, and when you need something to achieve your goal; whether it be a travel requirement, training, or flexibility in your schedule, you have it. The work life balance is also fantastic. Work days are busy since every member has a critical role the project life cycle, but unlike some of my previous employers, they understand you have family needs, emergencies, and other obligations. as long as your work is taken care of they accommodate your schedule. Travel opportunities for most, and the travel is usually only a day or two. Sometime a week if its the opening week of a project. Benefits are top tier bar none. The 2 biggest pros however is that this company is extremely Team oriented, and they reward people who perform. I spoke earlier about needing resources, and at any time I can speak to upper management in any department if myself or my team needs something to move the project along. There is no arguing and everyone genuinely strives to help one another succeed. By doing so they expect you to perform, and notice when you do through these interactions. In less than a year I am already being trained for my next advancement. It truly is a special place. Work location Executive Engagment. NCP has quarterly town hall meetings with the President, CFO, and Directors to discuss the status of NCP, and to allow employees to discuss their ideas, questions, and concerns without recourse. Very aggressive growth strategy and early market hold in imaging business. Good salary with bonus, and 3 weeks vacation starting.

Cons

I've worked in project management for 4 years in two fortune 500 companies prior to NCP. I have 0 complaints working here.

Pros

Good pay and good benefits

Cons

Management plays favorites. Has sense of entitlement, doesnt value employees opinions. Office is mostly women, environment is very high school like. Gossipy and catty. Teammates will bad talk their own teammates right in front of each other and management is clueless or refuses to address it due to playing favorites. Those who are favorited know who they are and constantly use it in their favor by taking longer breaks, going to each others cubicles to chat all day, etc. All departments are under manned. I worked in a team of 2 which was not nearly enough people for the workload. Manager doesnt care about his employees in the midst of medical emergencies, only cares that the department will fall behind when one person is out due to either sick or PTO. Manager is rude, insensitive, and doesnt communicate well at all. He gets frusterated very easily and sends you away saying he doesnt have time if you have an account that needs his attention.
