You don't get paid overtime, unless in a support engineer role. Yet there is this expectation that you will work all hours to get stuff done or attend meetings outside of the working day. If you do work above and beyond, you'll be lucky to get it recognised unless you have a vocal stakeholder impacted or with visibility.
The pay is below average-average, but it your starting out your career then you may get lucky. Development wise, moving up through the ranks is difficult in your selected field, a little easier if you want to try something new i guess. Skills development only really exists if your in a engineer position.
The company itself is very much in the phase of a startup wanting to be bigger, tooling is outgrown or insufficient, processes outdated and under scaled, mentality is very much 'that will do' or mvp, rather than do the job right and to suitable level.
In short - under paid, over worked, minimal development, but a great place to at least get your foot in the industry. Wouldn't recommend to someone mid-career looking to grow, unless your willing to invest at least 5+ years.
