Pros
The benefits package is incredible: excellent healthcare, accrued vacation and sick time in addition to personal time. Executive management is finally making strides to increase visibility.
Cons
Departments that should be complementary to one another act independently, which does not contribute to a unified corporate culture. Partial dependence on state funding/approval causes purchasing delays, which can be very frustrating. Difficult to get a raise due to reliance on grants. Depending on your supervisor, you can be extremely micromanaged.
