Pros
You get experience working with students and lesson planning.
Cons
It’s very, very fast paced. You’re expected to sacrifice your time with family to stay married to this program. The stipend checks are paper checks, and take forever to come - just pray they don’t get lost in the mail. And the amount of money they offer should be more for the time you literally spent as a full time teacher. Coaches are a hit or miss - sometimes you’ll get support, other times, they’re too busy with their own things to really help you. All they do is offer emotional support. And at times, you don’t get placed in your field of study. PIPs are humiliating to go through. They expect you to be absolute perfection, even if they say ‘oh, it’s definitely not easy’. Consider your job very carefully before jumping at this opportunity.
