      A nice place to work in Nanjing without too much pressure - Lecturer NUIST Employee Review

      Pros

      As a teacher: 1. You have a good space to plan your professional career. You do NOT have to sit in the office and waste your time on meaningless things. Actually I only went to the office when necessary, about 2-3 times a week. 2. I think the salary is enough to support your life in Nanjing. 3. The university provides apartments for teachers.

      Cons

      1. It's in the north area of the city (the north shore of the Yangtze river). The transportation maybe a problem. 2. The University is a third-rate one. You got less chances compared to Nanjing University/Southeast University.

      Pros

      - Classes were scheduled on 2 days of the week, so plenty of time for prep/grading. - Direct supervisors were easy to reach and helpful

      Cons

      - Taught only non-English majors, and only met with each class once per week. Class sizes ranged from 35-55. Building relationships with students was difficult.
