Pros
- The employees at NSM are definitely its biggest pro. Great people, very personable and everyone seems always willing to help/teach one another, even when it is someone outside of their team. This includes members of upper management who are very approachable and personable. - Hard work is rewarded. If you are willing to put in the time/effort and go the extra mile, you will be given plenty of opportunities. In addition to opportunity, there are many other incentives including monetary bonuses (Christmas, birthday, annniversary and annual). Teams that reach their goals are also rewarded with a paid vacation. - Work hard, play hard mentality. In addition to rewarding hard work with opportunity, NSM's culture definitely creates a fun atmosphere through its annual holiday party, trivia day, annual picnic, softball team, dragon boat ragatta race, happy hours, etc. The list goes on and on - Great benefits, 401k profit share. - Health and wellness initiative. Employees are allowed to add an extra 15 minutes to their lunch hour if they are working out. NSM also has 2 gyms, one in which holds daily classes with a personal trainer at lunch.
Cons
-No flex time or work from home. Must use PTO on snow days. -Pay is below industry average. Many employees have left solely for pay even when they are happy in their positions. A number of current employees had to leave NSM only to return a few years later in order to obtain what they deem a fair salary.
