Pros

Being offered 21-30k for a software engineer position with 2 years experience (preferred). After 1 paycheck, I've managed to be completely debt free and even afforded to purchase multiple properties thanks to my minimum wage!

Cons

Seriously though, the cheapest company ever. They want loads of experience and want to pay you nothing for it. Management is delusional if they think they can keep people happy with minimum wage for a hard skill like programming. Complete joke. Hope the company goes bankrupt -- and fast. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Pros

I was hired by NSD Tech at an intern position straight from my college and later got junior developer position. It was a pleasant surprise for me, because I was not getting much opportunities because English is my second language. Staff and management were very considerate of it and explained things even twice or thrice when I was not able to gasp it as faster as some of my colleagues. They even started a new lunch program where my encouraged me to teach them Chinese. Honestly, being new to Canada, I could not have asked for a better company to start my career.

Cons

It’s a relatively new company, so sometimes some processes are not in place, but I guess they are also learning and growing.

Pros

Sumegha and her team are kind people and have a strong dedication to continuously assist the good in our community.

Cons

-The office atmosphere and management at NSD were poor (examples: stress management was especially poor, responsibilities between senior management and employee = second point) - Frequent miscommunications, lack of (thorough) idea sharing and inadequate project briefings - Expectation for exceptional project outcomes in tight timeframes and a low salary In conclusion: NSD could serve as a promising starting point if you can endure the work environment, but it may not be suitable long-term.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience at NSD. We appreciate your insights into both the positive aspects and the areas where improvement is needed. It's great to hear that you found Sumegha and her team to be kind and dedicated to assisting the community. However, we understand your concerns regarding the office atmosphere, management, and some of the challenges you encountered during your time at NSD. Your advice to management on finding effective ways to distribute tasks and designate a liaison between upper management and employees is valuable. We take such feedback seriously and will certainly consider these suggestions to improve our work environment and communication processes. We believe in continuous growth and learning, and your input helps us in that endeavor. We wish you the best in your future endeavors, and thank you again for taking the time to provide your review.
