Pros

- Employees have a 40% discount that they can use on merchandise that has already been on the floor for a week.

Cons

- Cliquey work environment. Definitely felt like the off one out, and was often not included in conversations in downtown during my time at NRML. - Not enough training. My first shift was rushed in order to go home early, instead of being a good time to actually learn. - My schedule was not respected. I asked to be part time because I am in school and was scheduled during my classes more than once, despite reminding my manager during my interview, on paper, and in person. - They make it clear that they seek to have aggressive salespeople. This includes following the customer around the store and telling them about everything they are touching. I felt uncomfortable being that clingy to the customer because it never felt genuine. Not my style of sales. - I always preferred to keep my phone in my backpack at the back of the store, but phones must be kept in a drawer in the front desk. Employees must also perform bag and coat checks at the end of every shift in order to make sure nobody is stealing from the back room. Nothing like feeling like a thief at the end of every shift when your peers check your bag.
