      Excellent colleagues, a good environment for research, top-notch equipment and facilities

      Cons

      No room for career growth. This is more stable than a private sector job but nothing like a tenured academic job.

      Pros

      a lot of resources for your to explore and their Biowulf HPC system is very powerful and make my work much more efficient.

      Cons

      If you live not that close, the traffic to commute to the bethesda campus is heavy during rush hour.

      People are generally friendly, the schedule flexibility is pretty good

      The current administration is not good at managing anything. Their directives constantly change and leave us with more work and less output.
