      Pros

      NICTA was a great place to work for research as it had good balance of values. There was freedom to pursue blue sky research and also impact through commercialisation and projects with industry.

      Cons

      NICTA has lost it's focus on research and is becoming a service oriented company. Leadership also regards researchers as disposable and replaceable. The retrenchments in Victoria are filled with many procedural errors and staff have been mislead and lied to.

      It's a very good job to get your foot in the door and learn to be a conductor or engineer. Which when u get ur license. Will open up a lot of opportunities for u
