Pros

Fantastic Brand, still a lot of wonderful employees, dedicated US workers manufacturing quality products used in the rough construction flow control industry. Superb training ground with regards to US manufacturing, Lean enterprises, and Business Intelligence.

Cons

Certain influential individuals with regard to hiring/firing are not looked upon with favor. Dedicated professionals that disagree with how things are handled are terminated, fear is rampant about being dismissed on a whim or "for cause". The sales side has no direct leadership and is looked upon as an extravagant "expense". Employees with 7-10-15 or 20 years are as easily dismissed as a trainee since certain entities have taken control. A quick review of the number of changes in VP of sales, retirees, and long term employees that have been dismissed for any number of "reasons" clearly demonstrates what an entire industry talks about..one individual run amok. Most companies pour resources into new and emerging products...NIBCO lumps it on the shoulders of single overworked employees. Most companies treat long term employees with respect, new NIBCO lays them off after 25+ years before the end of the year to save an IT bonus when they were going to retire a few months later. It is so sad.

Pros

Work Life Balance, Pay, Employee Stock Ownership, Family Culture

Cons

Short Term Disability is not long enough or a rich enough benefit for such a good company.

Pros

I met a few great people there and got a pay check for a while.

Cons

Probably one of the worst jobs I've had. Cooperate doesn't care about you, HR only hires people related to them for the more sought after roles. The plant manager throws tantrums and refuses to handle issues. Most of Management is either too scared or too lazy to help with anything.
