Pros

Get 40 hours a week

Cons

Employed over 20 years and started to go downhill rapidly once the family started selling out their share of the company to the current CEO. "Chief People Officer"(whatever that is) is completely power hungry and makes sure the people hired below her is the same way. It's a fear environment and it has spread to every part of the company. There are some in management that has stayed a long time and made sure that long term employees were terminated, as long as it wasn't themselves. Company has a habit of buying out "smaller competitors" and then eliminating long time employees and replacing them with NIBCO "cronies". If the mafia is alive and well today in northern Indiana, then I'm sure there are ties to this organization. If the CEO and his wife could buy out some of the larger competitors, they would. But as long as the customers are smart, they will buy from the competitors. Better product and better customer service. The CEO and his wife rule as if they are king and queen of something, when in fact they are king and queen of nothing. Someday their "kingdom" will fall and they will be exposed. Their "legacy" as they put it will be the laughing stock of the world. Anyone who loyally follows them will fall right with them. NIBCO was founded on family values, but this generation of the family has rooted their evil claws deep within the organization and has destroyed those values.

Pros

Work Life Balance, Pay, Employee Stock Ownership, Family Culture

Cons

Short Term Disability is not long enough or a rich enough benefit for such a good company.

Pros

I met a few great people there and got a pay check for a while.

Cons

Probably one of the worst jobs I've had. Cooperate doesn't care about you, HR only hires people related to them for the more sought after roles. The plant manager throws tantrums and refuses to handle issues. Most of Management is either too scared or too lazy to help with anything.
