Pros

401k Match. Decent health insurance. Cell phone bill reimbursement. Some decent people in the company.

Cons

CIO does not seem to be a technical person, relying heavily on yes men. This trickles down from the top and hurts the organization. It is clear that if you are not in the Tulsa inner circle / club that you are dispensable. Management only seems concerned about keeping up appearances to their higher ups and puts the burden / blame on lower level employees when their lack of management and initiative bites them. Seemingly most people in the organization are worried about being fired if they are honest or bring up issues that reflect badly on higher ups or show them that they have mismanaged. Communication within the organization is poor due this issue. You will be scolded for not following procedures that you were never instructed to follow. Many employees are overworked and working multiple jobs / supporting many applications at once, so it seems nothing is done very well, or it if is done well it takes much longer than it should. It is the norm for management to ad hoc terminate a person without getting information or documentation about the state of applications and projects. That work is put on another person, who usually has full time duties already, and sold as temporary. Management acts surprised and gets upset at the when things are not getting done swiftly or things are not working correctly but seem oblivious to the notion that they are setting people up to fail. If you are a developer you will no doubt be given a fair amount of non development busy work / paperwork that cripples your ability to focus on your primary tasks. Everything from end user support, to user provisioning, and compliance testing (after hours), all while putting in full time work as a developer. Devs are basically on call 24/7 and fix production issues when they come up middle of the night, and that would be fine... if you were not being compensated at a rate much less than the industry standard and had more than the bare minimum for PTO. Mismanagement of resources is the norm. Devs rewrite code many times because management does not take the time to plan, communicate with internal customers, and give solid direction. Bonuses are discretionary and seem to be generally reserved for management. I saw one small bonus in 5 years, and no raise last year, but the company had funds to build out a brand new office space with all new furniture etc.. PTO amount only increases after 5 years. Company culture and compensation is easily 20 years behind the rest of the IT / Software industry.
