Pros
The workload is light compared to other news rooms. Reporters and MMJ's are only expected to turn one story a day. They typically get a photographer, and they don't have to go live unless the situation calls for it. Good vacation time, sick and PTO.
Cons
Extremely low pay. Fast food level wages! Reporters/MMJs get paid $17-$19 an hour. Turnover is extremely high. The few toxic employees such as photographers and producers are ignored because management needs cheap labor. The news Director Ryan Mott is all over the place. Friendly and conversational one minute, standoffish and grumpy the next minute.
