Pros

Management's ignorance of employment law. If you believed management's lies that this is a genuine enforcement position, and get stuck in this insane asylum, you could at least expect a easy UI claim, as long as you do what you're only legally obligated to do, i.e., embrace the suck and don't resign, so you'll at least get paid while seeking a real agency and back on your feet in your career!

Cons

Aside from the sub-par pay, starting everyone at the bottom at around $22 an hour, you have incompetent management here at this insane asylum calling itself NCTD, whose purpose seems to be making your daily life here almost a living hell. At the interview, I was promised I'd be writing admin cites and carry OC, uniform and have a stab-proof vest, but that turned out to be a lie. The so-called CCI's here, unlike Trolley, do no enforcement whatsoever here except literally parking "warnings," really just whole copies of the Ordinance 5, before tow (and don't even do that anymore!) and actually require you to wear steel-toe boots and a hardhat when we cross train tracks like we're maintenance workers or something! They also take pics of feces on the ground, expect you to push shopping carts off train platforms, and wear orange safety vests and no uniform whatsoever, looking like some lame hall monitor 🤣
