Pros
If you worked hard, it was rewarded to a degree. However, certain managers would do their best to stop you progressing as they didn’t want the spotlight to be removed from them.
Cons
Managers of certain teams, especially marketing and HR, were out for themselves. No team ethics at all - it was about how they could progress and what they’d get for themselves, not about the team. Poor management style and very sly, underhand behaviour! They also actively bullied staff and it was a really unprofessional environment at times. Of course they did their best to hide their behaviour from Rob Cotton!
