Pros

Pay above market rate to attract people Lots of great people with good skills Work from home flexibility

Cons

Insecure, self-centred managers with minimum leadership skills who only care about the security of their jobs. Months go by with endless meetings held by managers, achieving no outcomes or providing any direction to their teams. There is a restructure every 3-6 months to clear out people that have questioned decisions made by executives or raised concerns. Being a high performer and delivering outcomes doesn't mean anything unless you spend 90% of your time praising your managers and executives. HR supports managers regardless of them being repeat bullies and refers employees to EAP services. EAP services are helpful, but EAP can't change the toxic work environment or the behaviour of the bullying egoistic managers that the employee has to report into. There are so many opportunities to improve what nbn does, but toxic culture is pushing out the high performers.

Pros

Work life balance and diverse workforce. Great CEO who walk the talk however more work need to be done in ground level. Great location and facilities

Cons

Politics, poor middle management, too many unproductive TSA. TSA are allowed to contract for more than 2 years on high rates which make FTE wonders the benefits of being FTE
